Vintage Tudor Aqua Wristwatch, 9ct Gold
The Tudor Aqua is a relatively uncommon and highly regional model, produced specifically for the Australian market. Watches bearing the Aqua name are sought after by collectors of early Tudor and Commonwealth-market watches due to their limited distribution and association with Rolex's Australian distributor, Handley. The locally manufactured gold cases add an additional layer of historical interest compared with standard Swiss-cased examples.
The case back bears a personalised presentation inscription, a feature often associated with commemorative or long-service presentations from the period.
